• Set examples for SRE team with positive and inclusive leadership
• Conduct regular sync up and task management meetings with SRE team
• Communicate and collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to improve the current state of application security, monitoring, and response procedures
• Cooperate with counterpart on alerts, incidents, and response
• Document actions taken to refine and setup a robust process
• Provide effective oversight on debugging production issues across services and all levels of the stack
• Identify necessary architectural improvements from a reliability, performance and availability perspective with a data driven approach
• Incorporate efficiency, capacity, security, and cost in creating high quality recommendations
• Identify parts of the system that do not scale, apply immediate palliative measures and drive long term resolution of these incidents
• Identify Service Level Indicators (SLIs) that will align the team to meet availability and latency objectives
• Conduct blameless Root Cause Analysis (RCA) that improves our controls and solutions
• De-escalate conflict; resolve code quality & cyber security risks/incidents across teams

Experience

• At least 4 years of experience, including 2 years of experience leading a team

Leadership and Management

• Experienced in leadership and managerial roles within cloud, security, and reliability-focused teams.
• Skilled in collaborating with engineers to enhance cloud and container security, including ensuring application availability.

Teamwork and Communication

• Adept at working within global teams, actively engaging with subject matter experts, and consistently delivering on commitments.
• English: Fluent

Technical Expertise

• Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring production and staging environments, ensuring reliability and runtime health.
• Proficient in security monitoring using SIEM and SOAR tools such as Splunk and Azure Sentinel.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure (preferred), AWS, and GCP.
• Familiar with best practices for version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.

Agile Practices and Tools

• Experienced in Agile environments with proficiency in activity logging using project management tools like Azure DevOps and Jira.

Proactive Problem Solving

• Demonstrates a proactive approach to identifying problems, proposing effective solutions, and developing preventive measures to mitigate risks.
